EU Advisory Committees and Agencies
The European Union Advisory Committees and Agencies are established under the Article 154 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU (ex Article 138 of the Treaty on the EC) and set up by the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion (DG EMPL). These bodies are filled on a tripartite basis by representatives nominated by national social partners’ umbrella organizations.
